Epstein-Barr virus and multiple sclerosis: evidence, mechanisms and implications

During the seminar, we will discuss the potential role of Epstein-Barr infection as a causative factor of multiple sclerosis. The most recent evidence will be explored, and the possible mechanisms of action will be discussed.

The event will occur in person (Aula Magna, Palazzo Bellini in Novara) on 9 February 2023 at 2.30 pm. The Seminar is organized by the Department of Neurology, as part of the Aging Project, and the speaker will be Professor Alberto Ascherio, Professor of Epidemiology and Nutrition at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health in Boston (h-index 130, and about 500 publications).

The talks will be in English, but with the possibility of asking questions in Italian and English.
