Topic:
The CRC programme funds a network of researchers, both inside and outside of the European Respiratory Society, to work on projects which improve knowledge in respiratory health and medicine.
The aims of an ERS CRC are to promote the exchange of research ideas among clinicians and affiliated scientists in Europe and/or globally; to plan, conduct, evaluate and publish clinical and translational studies; to gain eligibility for network funding; to build an infrastructure for prospective clinical research and to agree on standardized approaches to address specific research needs. Outputs of a CRC would typically be scientific products, such as original articles for publication in scientific journals or abstract submission for presentation at scientific congresses. Clinical research resulting in results presentations and scientific session proposals for the ERS International Congress are encouraged.
All projects are judged on scientific excellence, but lung cancer or pandemic preparedness proposals are particularly encouraged.
