Topic:
The focus of this edition of the Telethon-UILDM clinical announcement will be Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophies and girdle dystrophies.
At the request of the UILDM, this year only studies dedicated to dystrophinopathies and muscle girdles are allowed for dystrophies.
In particular, clinical research projects on the aforementioned diseases must address the following research areas:
- Cardiological medicine settings
- Cognitive and neuropsychological evaluation
- Nutritional evaluation in relation to the metabolic status of the patients and the build
- Natural history studies and / or epidemiological studies
- Identification of potential modifier genes
- Identification of prognostic or predictive biomarkers
